At the 2010 ABTT Show in London in mid-June, the innovative RevEAL CW LED Washlight from Prism Projection, distributed in the UK by White Light, continued its hugely successful debut year, picking up the show’s coveted Hook Clamp award for Best New Lighting Product against some tough competition.
The RevEAL CW colour-mixing washlight is the first of the next generation of LED lighting fixtures: low-energy, colour mixing LED fixtures that project a controllable beam of light rather than just flooding an area with colour.
The first product from Prism Projection, the RevEAL won the award for best debuting lighting product at the 2009 LDI show in Orlando, the judges picking up on its great beam quality: superb colour range with excellent colour uniformity and with no colour separation across the beam. The fixture’s LED sources allow a white colour temperature that is tunable from 1800K to 10,000K with a colour rendering index exceeding 95. More importantly, RevEAL is consistent: it monitors and corrects its output, giving completely consitent colour and intensity even over a long working life - estimated at 50,000 hours at 70% average output.
Compact and efficient - delivering an average of 46 Lumens per Watt - the RevEAL CW is a great choice for display, exhibition and architectural lighting with no waste (colour filters, lamps) generated during the fixture’s life, and with no degrading ultraviolet or uncomfortable infrared wavelengths in the light. Plus the fixture is available in black, white or a range of custom colours.
It has now been jointly named Lighting Product of the Year 2010 by Live Design magazine.
