New hardware and software to be unveiled in Frankfurt

The 14th international Prolight + Sound trade fair takes place in Frankfurt from 12 to 15 March 2008 and will show products and services from the fields of event and audio-visual production, entertainment and lighting systems. Many new products will be on display.

Clay Paky presents four compact 300W moving body projectors for professional use designed with the outstanding features of the whole Alpha Series: the Alpha Beam 300 moving light beam, the Alpha Spot HPE 300 and Alpha Spot 300 effect projectors, the Alpha Wash 300 washlight.

At the Dutch manufacturing company Visual Productions stand you will be entering into a world of lighting control systems, with both software and hardware solutions available to suit their requirements. Complimenting the VisualDMX lighting control software product will be the brand new series of DIN Rail articles, including GPI (General Purpose Input), GPO (General Purpose Output) and the DMX splitter. Alongside the new version of VisualTouch, touch screen user interface, these offerings make VisualDMX an ideal choice for installers and system integrators alike.

ADB will be displaying for the first time the new EURODIM Twin Tech which combines Thyristor and Sinewave technologies in a cabinet that can contain up to 128 channels. ADB will feature the new zoom profile spotlight, WARP/Daylight, the most recent member of the growing WARP family. Fitted with a 575W daylight discharge lamp it definitely outperforms the light output of competitive 2500 W fixtures.

Based on the newest developments, American DJ continue with setting new trends, which were started last year in the lighting section. They will present a broad variety of novel LED-light effects and high-performance LED lighting technology. Also, as one of the first manufacturers to offer LED lighting with 20 Watt high-power LEDs, enabling the creation of ACCU SPOT hybrid movingheads, where high-power LEDs consolidate with discharge technology to give a brand new lighting effect in one unit. Finally, the new American DJ catalogue 2008 is ready and will be available in a print version at the show

ETC's Ion control desk designed for today's multimedia lighting rigs - delivering seamless control over conventional moving lights and LEDs is set to be seen for the first time at the show. Also there will be the first public view of SmartSoft, a new software application that runs on a PC and can be used to get to know the SmartFade ML lighting control console using its on-screen virtual console face panel.
