W-DMX at the Pyramids
Radio controlled lighting display helps make concert a success
Published: 11 December 2007
W-DMX technology has contributed to the success of a concert by Chantel Chamandy.
The Quebec singer performed at the Giza Pyramids, to an audience of several thousand spectators and one Sphinx. A mass of cabling was not an option (the area of the venue was a full square mile) so wireless technology was the answer.
W-DMX provided a DMX control solution, which was used to control almost six hundred fixtures, including spot and wash lights, along with hazers and fog generators.
