MELDA invites entries to its second annual lighting competition

Claire Brookes, MELDA Event Manager, writes that this is a unique event that brings together and formally recognizes the world's leading lighting designers in enhancing the Middle East's built environment through the power of light, to an international audience.

If you or your organization have been involved in the design of an outstanding lighting project within the Middle East then entry into the Middle East Lighting Design Awards will give you the recognition you deserve. The ten award categories, including the prestigious Middle East Lighting Project of the Year, will be judged by a broad based panel of industry experts including:

• Ziad Fattouh - Principal Delta Lighting Solutions
• George Katodrytis - Associate Professor of Architecture at the American University of Sharjah, UAE
• Marcus Stebich - Director of Development, Spas & Interiors, Jumeirah
• Riad Saraiji - Associate Professor of Architectural Engineering, UAE University

For the 2008 event we have extended the Product Innovation Categories to enable lighting manufacturers the chance to shine in front of lighting designers, developers, architects, interior designers and fellow lighting professionals. April 27th 2008 will see Dubai host MELDA and present you with an exclusive and influential audience of decision-makers involved in the delivery of the region's major projects.

Closing date for entries is 31st January 2008.
