GE launches SHOWBIZ® CSR lamp

Range of speciality fixtures for moving lights gains a new addition

Published: 21 October 2007

GE Lighting has added a new SHOWBIZ® CSR short double-ended metal halide lamp to its growing family of lamps for moving lights applications.

The CSR575/S/DE/70 will be embodied in the new Martin MAC575 Krypton fixture introduced at PLASA 07. According to GE, the MAC575 Krypton offers super efficient optics for brighter output, unique gobos, and a market-proven, modular design shared with other MAC luminaries. GE says it is the perfect choice for stages and venues that demand reliable, low-maintenance, and no-nonsense performance.

The entire line of short double-ended lamps from GE features the same overall length, light centre length, base, shape, and a choice of colour temperatures to offer greater flexibility for manufacturers and other professionals concerned with focal points, development of innovative fixture designs or designing event lighting.

The SHOWBIZ® CSR575/S/DE/70 is a 7000 Kevin lamp rated at 750 hours with the same MOL as the previously introduced line of 138mm short double ended lamps. All of these lamps feature chromised seals that withstand seal temperatures as high as 450 degrees Celsius.

The CSR575/S/DE/70 will replace the CSR575/DE, p/c 48451.
