PALME India 2007
Expected to grow by 25%, and Lighting Professional is looking forward to visiting it this year and reporting on what is becoming a major exhibition
Published: 29 July 2007
PALME India 2007, now in its second year, is India's premier exhibition of professional sound, light, music, audio-visual and systems integration technologies and is taking place from 4-6 October 2007 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NSE Complex).
Inaugurated last year as PALA India, this year's exhibition will be spread over 3000 square metres of exhibition space and is expected to feature around 200 brands distributed across 115 stands. Now branded as PALME India, the entertainment technology show is projected to grow by as much as 25%.
According to James Raffoul, PALME India's Exhibition Manager, "The market is growing exponentially, and India is now the second fastest growing major economy in the world." He adds, "While Bollywood remains the central entertainment focus, the events industry is showing a huge GDP growth of around 9%. The large number of new hotels, houses of worship, sports complexes and shopping malls all require technology infrastructures and communications systems."
Last year the show attracted 120 exhibiting companies spread over 75 stands, with 2,500 visitors attending. This year the show offers companies the opportunity to showcase their products and services in one of the fastest growing and most lucrative markets in the world. The rapid growth of PALME India and its two vertical shows Install and Event 360 are attracting visitors and professionals as well as key industry decision-makers.
